Gyokuro is one of the most elegant and sophisticated Japanese teas there is. The name translates to ‘jade dew’, describing the color of its infusion. Our Gyokuro is grown in a rich volcanic soil on the south eastern coast of Kyushu, an area known as a leader in organic farming practices. ‘Umami’ in taste and aroma, this smooth infusion will make you feel like you’re taking an exquisite plunge under the sea!
Its finish is sweet and rich. The fine, needle-shaped leaves are a dark emerald green color due to being partially shade grown, which gives Gyokuro a high chlorophyll content. This tea can be brewed three times.
